A LOVE BETWEEN MAN AND GODDESS

In the Three Kingdoms period of ancient China, lived a young poet named Cao Zhi.

Once wandering along the bank of the Luo River, Cao Zhi was graced with the appearance of goddess Luo Shen. Witnessing her breathtaking beauty and ethereal presence, Cao Zhi instantaneously fell hard and deep in love.

For the roots of their birth, their destinies were not meant to be entwined, so they must part ways momentarily after meeting. Goddess Luo Shen flew back to the sky - in chaperone of six dragons and other mythical beings - leaving Cao Zhi behind with a heavy, broken heart.

The sight of Luo Shen floating precariously above the river - scarlet ribbon flowing from her dark hair - was forever imprinted within Cao Zhi, haunting his many sleepless nights, and then became the inspiration for his famous poem "Ode to the Goddess of the Luo River."

As our way of paying homage to this bittersweet and historical love story, The Encounter and The First Sight palettes are created.
