The dress is beautiful, but the sizing runs a bit small. I’m 154 cm, 54 kg and can only wear size L, and even then there isn’t much room. If they changed the back tie to buttons it would feel more high-end. The overall cut is great and it hides a little tummy really, really well.

The dress is really pretty and the quality is great. Even though it’s a maxi dress, the linen fabric isn’t hot at 32°C. I’m 168 cm / 108 jin, the size M hits just above my ankles. But! Why did the elastic on one sleeve snap the very first time I wore it… I was eating and suddenly felt my right arm go loose, touched it and the elastic had broken, the sleeve just went all droopy. Not sure if a tailor can fix it… P1 is the normal left sleeve, P2 is the broken right one.

I really like the cinched-waist cut, but the sizing runs small—normally I wear XS, but I need an S in this. The texture isn’t great for the price, but it’s fine if you’re just buying it for the style. After hand-washing it’s still very wrinkled and needs ironing.

Whoever came up with this cutting method… it really emphasizes my little belly. At first I thought it was my underwear line, then realized it’s exactly where the seam is. I have another skirt with the same V-shaped cut at the tummy, but since it’s not right on the lower belly, it doesn’t make it stick out. This skirt is very body-hugging and goes down to the ankles. It doesn’t look quite like it does on the website—there’s no pearly sheen. But the fabric is decent and soft.
